The Tithe Act of Parliament of 1836 made provision for a survey to be made of the parish and a large scale detailed map was prepared along with schedules describing each field, wood, orchard, shop and all other buildings. The resulting parish tithe map prepared in 1839 is reproduced below. It is rotated about 75 degrees from geographic North - with the long side going across the page.

The Schedule of the Tithes complements the map. It shows who owned or was a tenant of the numbered plots on the map and the monetary value of the tithe due from that person based on the prices of a mix of produce at the time.

The original Tithe Map of Bathford was on a long roll which is at the Bath Record Office. A copy was retained by the parish and traced by Cdr. Alan Craig which David Howells was able to digitise. This is the version on the website (as above).
Bathford Society was also loaned a photocopied version of this map. Parts of this have have been scanned and give an impression of what the original map looks like:
