Whiteley Family Tree (Partial)
The Bathford Society has evidence of the following partial family tree:
Parents: James Newman (1797-1859) married Hannah Strange (1805-1899) in 1823
Children: Their daughter, Diana (1834-1934) married George Smart (1846-1912)
Grandchildren: They had two daughters, viz. Olive Smart (1872-1943), a nurse, and Cecily Smart (born 1880). Cecily married Gerald Whiteley, a papermaker, in 1905
Great Grandchildren: Cecily and Gerald had two sons viz. George (born 1909), and Gerald Newman (born 1916)
